We help coordinate freight from origin to destination. This includes bookings, transport provider liaison, customs clearance support, VGM coordination, tracking and delivery management.
How long does freight forwarding setup take?
Booking and documentation setup is typically completed within 1 to 2 days.
How long does freight take to arrive?
Transit times vary depending on the destination and transport mode, including sea, air or road.
Do you provide shipment updates?
Yes. Ongoing updates are provided throughout the shipment journey, with tracking and coordination through to final delivery.
Do you coordinate VGM and marine survey requirements?
Yes. Freight forwarding support may include marine survey and VGM coordination where required.
What equipment options are available?
Flexible equipment options may include dry vans, flatbeds and reefers, depending on the freight requirements.
How does the booking and payment process work?
Once we receive your completed booking form by email, our administration team will contact you to finalise the booking. After a weighing date is agreed, VC Weighing will send an invoice by email. Payment is due by the date listed on the invoice.
Will I receive a specific booking time?
Bookings are made for a particular day. Specific times are not guaranteed, as onsite work depends on location, access and the day’s schedule.
VC Weighing is always ready to help. Even when we have had last minute containers that need to be weighed to make an export, they find a way to make it work. The process is so much easier having them come to the yard to weigh for VGM’s and have all the export PRA’s completed before transport have even collected the container. They are very professional onsite with our clients and will even check directly if needed to make sure the container is ready to be weighed to avoid extra fees to yourself.
